The cover this month was created and photographed by Massimo Gammacurta using a mixture of
sugar, corn syrup and water to create the letterforms, which were then shot on
glass. The result is surprising. (ndr. Gammacurta
is also the author of the "Eat Me" an alphabet made of gummy candies,
photographed close up.)
And with such a cover, the contents of this issue could only be incredibly interesting: starting from Leon, “Naturally fast food”, the
restaurant chain which serves food that both tastes good and does you good. Speaking
of the pleasures of the palate, have you ever attended dinner parties in
lighthouses? Disappearing Dining Club serves up great food in unexpected
locations to create memorable nights out.
Leafing through the edition of February, we observed how Phaidon
has applied its artistic know-how to its growing range of amazing recipe books
and and we discover initiatives designed to address the serious global problem
of food waste.
And then, Haller app, the app that contains basic and sustainable agricultural techniques
for smallholder farmers. It’s revolutionising food production in developing
countries. And then the
current trends in photography and food styling, grocery stores which offer a
new approach to home cooking...
